A case of cruelty has come to light with a pregnant Hindu woman in a government hospital in Sindh province in Pakistan. Due to lack of doctor here, inexperienced staff was doing her caesarean delivery. The child’s head was cut off from his torso. Not only this, he left the children in the stomach, due to which the life of the woman was in trouble.
Professor Raheel Sikander, Head of the Department of Gynecology, Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS), said that the Sindh government has constituted a medical board and ordered an inquiry into the matter.
Raheel also told that the age of the woman is 32 years. He is from a remote area of Tharparkar district. She had reached a Rural Health Center (RHC) on Sunday for delivery. After the incident, he was taken to a hospital near Mithi, where he was not treated.
Raheel told that the woman’s family later brought her to LUMHS, where the rest of the baby’s body was removed from the mother’s womb, which saved the woman’s life . Sikandar told that the child’s head was stuck inside and the mother’s uterus had ruptured. They had to open his stomach to save his life.
