250 crore people may be deaf by 2050:Worldwide people are suffering from hearing loss due to headphones, 25% affected in France


Research by the National Institute of Health and Medical Institute of France has shown that one in four people in France have hearing problems. They are slowly becoming deaf. Meaning 25% of the population there is getting affected by it.

Depression and noise are
causing people to be deaf Researchers believe that earlier research was done only on a small level, but according to the research done this time, people are having hearing problems due to lifestyle, social isolation and depression and exposure to loud noises.

Deaf
research has found that some people are having hearing problems due to sugar and depression. At the same time, some people are facing problems due to loneliness, urban noise and using headphones.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), about 150 million people in the world are experiencing some form of hearing loss. This number is expected to increase to 250 crore by 2050. Hence it is being seen as a health problem.

Only 37% of people in France use hearing aids
In France, only 37% of people use hearing aids. Smokers and people with high BMIs are also using hearing aids less. In view of the growing problem, last year, the French Department of Health made hearing aids available to the public for free. Provision has also been made for insurance for hearing aid.
