A case of cheating has been registered against 12 people, including Medha Patkar, associated with Narmada Bachao Abhiyan in Barwani, Madhya Pradesh. All are accused of embezzlement of Rs 13.5 crore received by the NGO Narmada Navnirman Abhiyan. In the FIR, there has been an allegation of using funds raised in the name of education and tribal children in anti-national activities.The Surkanda Devi Temple ropeway trolley in Uttarakhand’s Tehri Garhwal on Sunday halted for 20 to 25 minutes due to a technical snag. Later all the passengers aboard have come out safely. Tehri Garhwal SSP Navneet Bhullar said that the ropeway is now running smoothly. No passenger is trapped in the trolley.
